So you are planning a visit to Thyme on the Terrace and are curious about other activities in the area? Well there is a lot to do. Once you’ve visited the Rusty Gate, an antique co-op located in the lower barn we are in, you can continue your outing by visiting some of the lovely nurseries of Western Chester and Lancaster Counties. Here are some of our favorites:

Martin Greenhouses

Directions: Turn right out of Thyme on the Terrace. Go 11.7 miles to 5489 Division Hwy (PA 322). Turn left into nursery. (Approximately 11.7 miles from Thyme on the Terrace.)

Conestoga Nursery

Directions: Take Right out of Thyme on the Terrace. Take Rte 322 West for 11.8 miles. Turn Right onto Fetterville Road and go 1.0 mile. Turn Left onto Main Street (PA 23) and go 0.5 miles. Turn Right onto Reading Road (PA 625) and go 1.5 miles to 310 Reading Road. (Approximately 15.4 miles from Thyme on the Terrace.)

Black Creek Nursery

They have an excellent selection of perennials and specialty annuals that you won’t find anywhere else. They also have a large selection of reasonably priced Koi and water garden accessories. 211 E. Directions: Turn Right out of Thyme on the Terrace. Take Rte 322 13.1 miles west. Turn Right onto Springville Road (PA 897) and go 0.6 miles. Turn Right onto Main Street (PA 23) and go 0.3 miles. Turn Left onto Reading Road (PA 625) and go 3.7 miles. Turn Right onto East Black Creek Road and go 0.5 miles to 211 East Black Creek Road. (Approximately 18 miles from Thyme on the Terrace.)

Ken’s Gardens

Directions: Turn right out of Thyme on the Terrace, go .6 miles and take a left onto Rt 82 (Manor Rd). Follow 82 for approximately 4 miles. Turn right at stop sign onto Rt. 340 West. Follow for 6.6 miles. Turn right onto Compass Rd. (Rt 10)/Rt 340 W and continue for 9.3 miles. Turn right onto Newport Rd (just past Kitchen Kettle Village). Ken’s will be on your left. (Approximately 22 miles from Thyme on the Terrace.)

Groff’s Plant Farm

Directions: Turn right out of Thyme on the Terrace, go .6 miles and take a left onto Rt 82 (Manor Rd). Follow 82 for 4.4 miles. Merge onto US 30W and follow for 8.2 miles. Turn left onto Swan Rd. for about 2.5 miles. Swan then turns into Liberty Rd. Turn left onto Main and take a right onto Valley Ave/PA 372. Follow for a miles, then take a sharp left onto S Bridge Street. Bridge then becomes Noble. Turn right to stay on Noble and follow for 5.5 miles. Turn right on Barton; follow for a half mile, then turn left onto Noble. Stay on Noble for 3 miles, then turn right onto Maple Shade. In a half mile, turn right onto Street Road. (Approximately 27 miles from Thyme on the Terrace.)
